About these sessions

I’m now offering one-on-one video consultations through Intro. They’re for anyone curious about generative AI and how it fits into digital image-making — whether you’re just starting out or already working with it. The idea is a focused conversation rather than a fixed course, so we spend the time on what’s actually useful to you.

What we can cover

Each session is shaped around your own goals. Depending on where you are, that might include:

  • Monochrome AI work: using AI to make black-and-white images, and getting contrast and depth right.
  • Generative AI in art: approaches for generating images that go somewhere interesting.
  • Tools and workflow: a look at the AI tools and software I use and why.
  • Finding your style: how to develop a consistent direction in this kind of work.
  • Your questions: whatever you’re stuck on, from a specific image to keeping up with the field.

Why generative AI and monochrome?

They’re two things I keep coming back to, and they go well together. Working in black and white pushes you to notice detail, contrast, and texture that colour can hide. In a session we look at how to use that toward whatever you’re trying to make, keeping things simple where we can.
