The edge of an ice shelf is a line drawn by nature across the ocean. With Edge of the Shelf, I wanted to distill the Antarctic landscape to its simplest forms: ice, water, and light. By utilizing the logic of long-exposure photography, I smoothed out the texture of the sea to emphasize the crystalline structure of the ice margin, creating a visual meditation on the boundary where the continent ends.
