A tabular iceberg is a library of climate history, layer upon layer of compressed time. With Frozen Fortresses, I wanted to capture the sheer, indifferent scale of these ice islands. By guiding the algorithm to emphasize the vertical striations and the deep, shadowed channel between the bergs, I created an image that feels less like a seascape and more like an encounter with an ancient, frozen city.
