From Lens to Code
The dunes are never the same landscape twice; they are a fluid ocean of sand frozen in a momentary shape. With Twilight Ripples, I wanted to capture the graphic repetition that occurs when the low light of twilight rakes across the sand. By focusing the algorithm on texture and the interplay of warm and cool tones, I created an image that highlights the impossible contrast of desert dunes resting at the foot of alpine peaks.
