The undisputed king of the high country.

Alpine Monarch captures a magnificent Bighorn Sheep ram surveying his domain from a rocky outcrop. The spiral of his massive amber horns is rendered in exquisite detail against the soft blue-grey atmosphere of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, creating a portrait of power and endurance for Executive Offices and Mountain Lodges.

From Lens to Code

Bighorn sheep are the living embodiment of the mountains they inhabit—rugged, sure-footed, and timeless. With Alpine Monarch, I wanted to focus on the sculpture of the animal itself, particularly the weathering on the horns that tells the story of its life. By guiding the algorithm through the logic of portrait lighting and atmospheric separation, I created an image that isolates the ram as a symbol of high-altitude dominance.
