The high desert ecosystem relies on its smallest members. With Desert Sentinel, I wanted to shift the scale of the landscape down to the level of the sagebrush. By guiding the algorithm to focus on the squirrel's alert posture and the texture of its fur, I created a moment of connection with a creature that is usually just a blur of motion, highlighting the intricate life that thrives at the edge of the dunes.
